PrimariesForPalin.com aims to nominate Sarah Palin as the Republican presidential candidate by encouraging Democrats and Independents to purposefully vote for her in state primaries. In head-to-head polls with President Barack Obama, Palin consistently fares worse than other possible Republican candidates because of her divisiveness. If Palin is nominated, Obama has a much better chance of winning reelection in November 2012.
I’m seriously considering unaffiliating from the democratic party so I can vote for her in the primary.
that would be really funny if you voted for Palin and she beat Obama. really funny.
Remember when Reagan was the looney far right candidate that Carter’s team dreamed of running against?
Rush Limbaugh advocated this same behavior before the 2008 election, asking Republicans to caucus as a Democrat for Hillary Clinton, hoping the party would become divided and split. (As a side note, this came back to bite a few Republican candidates in this previous election as it came to light they were actually registered Democrats) Much like the filibuster hypocrisy of a month ago, this was an evil tactic when the other side was using it but now let’s all praise these brave and brilliant patriots defending America from the evil conservatives.
As an alternative strategy, I suggest championing good policy and clearly communicating to your constituents why it is good policy. I mean think about it: if you create good policy you will likely win your next election AND you will have created good policy. Double-win!
